Get involved in 8RADIO.com

8Radio.com is an online Alternative Music radio station from Dublin which is celebrating it’s 8th Birthday in 2021.  The 8Radio musical philosophy is simple – “Playing the music we like”.  This means playing the songs we like, regardless of genre, with all choices being based on song quality.  8Radio broadcasts via its own Smartphone Apps, Alexa Skill, TuneIn Radio for connected devices and via Temporary FM and Digital radio licences.

8Radio.com is expanding its schedule and is now recruiting volunteer presenters and backroom staff. Presenters will be expected to be available for approximately 3 hours per week for the live 8Radio.com online schedule and 2 hours per week for remotely recorded 1 hour shows. 8Radio live shows are broadcast from our studios on Dawson Street, Dublin 2 or programmed remotely and uploaded to the 8Radio.com server. Backroom volunteers are required to assist with the stations website and social media as well as on the business and commercial side of the operation.

Before applying, all potential applicants are asked to listen to a sample of the 8Radio.com output on our website or via our Smartphone apps.  If you believe you can work within the format of 8Radio.com then we want to hear from you.  If you have a programme proposal that you think will compliment the 8Radio.com philosophy then we would like to hear from you too.  Some previous radio experience is desirable but not essential.  8Radio is always open to approaches from volunteers with an interest in other areas of the stations operation such as Production, Promotion and WordPress design and content creation.

Please submit applications, including a 2 minute voice demo (for presentation positions) and details of your experience/qualifications to 8Radio.com by Wednesday December 15th 2021.
