8Radio returns to FM in February 2025! #Try8Radio
8Radio.com is brought to listeners through a variety of platforms, including live Internet streaming, Smartphone Applications, an Alexa skill for Smart Speakers, TuneIn radio and also via a series of Temporary FM licenses. 8Radio.com is delighted to be broadcasting for 18 consecutive days (our longest FM run to date!) in February 2025. 8Radio is a listener supported service and we rely on your kind donations to keep us playing the music we like and supporting the Independent music scene we love. 8Radio.com has since launch been particularly proud of the support that it has given artists who are generally given very little support by daytime radio in Ireland. Our partnerships with venues and promoters, particularly that with our title sponsor Whelans Live Music Venue, have helped us to discover and assist hundreds of new and aspiring Indie acts since we started in 2013. 8Radio.com aims to add to and expand these partnerships during 2025 and beyond.

We’re delighted to have made it through this challenging period and now we’re looking forward to continuing to grow 8Radio and the musical community that it supports as we enter the twelfth year of the 8Radio story. The technology and the media environment may have changed dramatically in the years since 8Radio.com launched but the buzz of getting to introduce a great new track to an interested audience is still the same. Everyone at 8Radio.com puts in the hard work because they believe in what the radio station is about and it’s a privilege to be part of that.”

People often ask us about our philosophy, our USP and all that stuff. We sum it up this way: “We are black, we are white, we just say it, we just play music we like. We are uncomplicated, we don’t try to be cool, we just are who we are, people will like us or they won’t like us and that’s ok. We enjoy what we do, we share what we do, it’s not complicated, it’s so simple, its just 8. And in a world of complication and having to think and being shouted at isn’t it nice to just be with someone as simple and lovely as 8?”
